Every couple of years a representative of All Torque Transmissions braves the airline food and risks deep vein thrombosis to attend the world’s largest industrial trade fair, Hannover Messe, in Germany.
2015 is no different, with Director Craig Mighell making the sojourn to the northern hemisphere.
Integrated Industry
“Integrated Industry – join the network!” is the key theme of the entire Hanover Fair. This theme refers to both machine-to-machine communication (as part of Industry 4.0 – first unveiled at Hannover in 2011) as well as the personal relationships that are forged through face to face contact.
Industry 4.0
Industry 4.0 has been one main focal point of Hannover for 2015, as part of the theoretical transition to the fourth industrial revolution.
Design principles of the concept are:
- Interoperability
- Virtualization
- Decentralization
- Real-Time Capability
- Service Orientation
- Modularity
Very soon, current industry buzz-words such as ‘The Internet of Things, The Internet of Services and Cyber-physical Systems’ will become standard vernacular, provided the appetite for change spreads.
Relationships 4.0
At All Torque we pride ourselves on the longevity of our business relationships, which extends to both customers and suppliers. Hannover gives us a chance to continue strengthening our partnerships with some of the world’s most respected power transmission companies.
